In the next four posts we will see what each team of the AFC North could potentially pick. Let’s start with the Cleveland Browns. They already look like a completely different team with the free agent period. They need their franchise QB and depth at any position. The next team that will be analyzed will be our home town Bengals.
The Cleveland Browns 1st pick overall is
Watch the video and you will see no one has the arm strength that he possesses. This video even proves a low completion % does not mean he isn’t accurate. Throwing across the body and throwing a dart down field with Jarvis Landry and Josh Gordon will be exciting.
The Cleveland Browns 4th pick overall is
The best pure talent at edge rusher. Marcus Davenport is a much better fit than Bradley Chubb. He overpowers his opponent and he has the same attitude as Myles Garrett (last years number one overall). Having both edge rushers on the same team is scary.
The Cleveland Browns 2nd round pick 33 overall is
This big man uses pure leverage moves on his opponent. He hasn’t been talked about which is odd seems he protected Lamar Jackson for a few years with no problem.
The Cleveland Browns 2nd pick in the second round 35th pick overall is
This video says it all. Anthony Averett is a great pick in the second round. He is the soft-spoken CB from Alabama. He is a complete shutdown corner.
The Cleveland Browns have a 3rd pick in the second round 64th overall and the pick is.
They always say better RBs can be found in the 2nd or 3rd rounds and this is the case here. Saquon Barkley is really a hype pick in the first round. Kerryon Johnson can do it all. One thing he can do better than Barkley is run excellent between the tackles which is key for a division like the AFC North.
After having 5 picks in the first 2 rounds the Browns have no picks in the 3rd round.
B.J. Hill is a sleeper pick in the mid rounds. One of the best under rated run stopping DTs in college football. He also has a knack for putting his long wingspan up in the air to bat down balls.
The Cleveland Browns 5th round pick and 150 overall is
The Browns are spot on again picking a player that can play Tackle or Center. Being drafted as a Center he is most comparable to Ryan Jensen. I consider this to be a steal in the 5th round.
Finishing the Cleveland Browns picks are 6th round 175 pick overall Keishawn Bierria LB for Washington. 188 pick is Jaylen Samuels TE for N.C. State. There is no picks for the Browns in the final round.
Overall draft grade is a B. The Browns hit on all kinds of depth and potential starters. They found their franchise QB. They went against the hype and drafted a 2nd round RB. The scariest part is having two of the best college edge rushers in the game the past two college years.
