Grading Every Team From The AFC North With Free Agency

With  a week from the 2018 NFL draft, I compiled what each team in the AFC North did during free agency.

Cincinnati Bengals losses

  • Russell Bodine Center to free agency
  • Pat Sims DT to free agency
  • Kevin Minter LB to free agency
  • Jeremy Hill RB to free agency
  • Eric Winston T to free agency
  • Chris Smith DE to free agency
  • Cedric Peerman RB to free agency
  • Andre Smith T to free agency
  • Adam Jones DB to free agency
  • AJ McCarron QB to free agency
  • Vontaze Burfict LB to suspension for 4 weeks

Cincinnati Bengals gains

  • Bobby Hart T signed formerly with the New York Giants

  • Cordy Glenn G traded from the Buffalo Bills plus exchanged first round picks and their 5 and 6 picks
  • Tyler Eifert TE re-signed through 2018
  • Kevin Huber P re-signed through 2020
  • Preston Brown LB signed through 2018 formally from the Buffalo Bills
  • Matt Barkley QB signed through 2019 formally from the Arizona Cardinals

The losses were expected losses. The big loss is Chris Smith but then gained Chris Baker. Every gain will have an immediate impact except for Hart and Barkley. They will be backups. The Bengals played free agency better than in past years.

Tomorrow I will run a few rounds for each team in the AFC North to see if each team will contribute big for their needs. There is a lot of reading in this post but it just gives you a look to see what team is doing what and how well they are doing it.
