Leighton Vander Esch has been mentioned a lot recently. He is a dominant Linebacker from Boise st. In the NFL draft boards he has been listed as the 3rd best Linebacker in the draft. This week starts the Combine. His PFF grades are out of 390 linebackers. His run defense is what he is known for. He is a good coverage guy with room to grow.
The Pittsburgh Steelers want to see him on the board at pick 28. The thing is the combine has had history in changing linebacker positioning in the draft. Experts say if Vander Esch can get his 40 under 4.55 he can possibly be a top 15 pick. If the Bengals want to go Linebacker he would be a fine asset.
There are two teams before the Bengals 12th pick that want linebackers. This guy could grab more attention after the combine then any other linebacker. Sunday will be when linebackers and defensive lineman will be participating. Also watch Tremaine Edmunds and Raquon Smith which is ranked number 1 and 2 at this time. Combine will determine which linebacker can make his mark.
