Earlier in the week i suggested cutting ties with Bodine. Now there are a lot of options the Bengals can play. There is the Draft option which Frank Ragnow from Arkansas is a prime candidate. There is also a few options that would give an immediate effect on the Center position.
The 4 best possible Centers at Free Agency
- Matt Paradis from the Broncos- He is the main Free Agent at Center. Downside is he is a RFA so the Bengals would have to give them a draft suggested by the tender.
- John Sullivan from the Rams- He is the oldest of the four. The Bengals should try to get a Center at a definite longer term.
- Weston Richburg from the Giants- He is the most inconsistent of the four but is still an upgrade from Bodine.
- Ryan Jensen from the Ravens- This is my best possibility where you do a drastic upgrade from Bodine and downgrade the ravens at the same time.
The best suggestion is to have Bodine leave and bring in Ryan Jensen to start and draft Frank Ragnow to study under him. Ryan Jensen market value is 8.9 million and is looking for a 4 to 5 year deal. The Bengals have plenty of cap space especially if they let Tyler Eifert walk and Cedric Ogbuehi. The cap space would be newly estimated at 44 million.
